Tenoning Jig

This may look like a standard shop-built tenoning jig, but there are some really important differences.

First of all, this jig lets you cut three standard tenons—1/4", 3/8", and 1/2"—without having to fiddle with a lot of different adjustments. These settings are pre-set, which makes it easy to repeat the settings without any tedious trial and error. Of course, you can also cut tenons of any thickness, in addition to the pre-sets.

Second, you can use this jig to cut offset tenons (tenons that are not centered on the thickness of the workpiece).

And, to make your life a bit easier, you can cut both cheeks of the tenon without flipping the workpiece around in the jig. Plus, it's easy to build.
